It’s hard to believe we found out we were having a baby girl two weeks ago. If you missed the announcement, check it out here! Anyways, now that we know we are having a girl, I need to buy all things. I’m not into the color pink, so the hunt for clothes and nursery decor may be a little difficult. Seriously, everything is pink. I’ll share what I am thinking for the nursery soon, but for colors I’m thinking grays and mustard yellows with some greenery.
Bump Update: 22 Weeks Pregnant
How Far Along – 22 Weeks
Symptoms – I’m basically exhausted, hungry, or full from eating. My belly is also going through growing pains and my back has started to get a little achy. I also feel like I need something to hold up my belly, carrying low is uncomfortable folks.
Weight Gain – Give or take 8 pounds.
Mood – January was busy. And while things are slowing down, I have a long to do list of things that I need to do before the baby gets here. I’m finally trying to get the house together after a year and a half of being in the house. So yes, it’s a bit of nesting, but mostly I think I’m just ready to make some decor decisions. If you don’t know, I suffer from decor commitment.
Rowan has been obsessed with babies lately. I even bought him his own little baby, which he loves and puts to bed every night. I’m not sure he understands that we are having an actual baby, but he points to my belly and says baby. He also gives kisses and hugs to his baby sister.
I also need to buy some clothes, maternity clothes to be specific. But since I’m overly picky about my clothes, I have found it difficult to shop.
Food Cravings – Anything spicy. Otherwise, I just want food. I’m in a cooking rut though. I seriously don’t know what to cook most nights.
Missing – My high waisted jeans. Every outfit I see with high waisted jeans, my heart aches for them. It sounds superficial, but if you have ever owned a life changing pair of jeans, you understand. I also miss the energy I had 22 weeks ago, slowing down isn’t easy for me.
Looking Forward To – A slow February, hopefully. We also have a mini family getaway planned in March. But I’m going to try and get through February first.
This Week’s Happenings – Apparently according to The Bump, the baby is as big as a coconut.
