Trunk Club Try On – The 8 Months Pregnant Edition
This month I decided to give Trunk Club a try. I don’t live within driving distance of a Nordstrom and this seemed like a great way to get a little personal shopping attention. However since I have tried another styling service several times over the last few years and it just never worked out for me, I was a little hesitant.

What is Trunk Club?
Trunk Club is a styling service owned by Nordstrom. There is a small fee of $25 per trunk (the fee is waived if you have a Nordstrom card) but that fee will go towards anything you decide to purchase from your trunk. When you first sign up you are assigned a personal stylist. The personal stylist I was assigned to asked a ton of questions about my personal style, what my lifestyle was like, and what my go to fashion brands were. I even shared my Instagram with her to help her get a sense of my personal style. With Trunk Club, the stylist really takes the time to get to know you before putting together your own personal trunk.
Let’s get to the try on!!
So before I continue, when I decided to try out the Trunk Club service, I forgot how big my bump could be. I can’t believe I’m posting these pictures for the world to see. But a bloggers gotta do what a bloggers gotta do, right?
I will say, I didn’t ask for any bump friendly shirts. My bad. But with the baby coming soon, it’s not that big of a deal. To be honest, I’m actually worried I have no postpartum summer wear, so it was perfect. Some of the try on photos however are a little laughable.
Jenkins Stripe Dress by RVCA
So, this is funny. I thought this was a shirt when I pulled it out of the box and tried it on. It wasn’t until I looked at the list of items in my trunk that I realized this piece was a dress. Belly bump or not, I don’t think it would work as a dress on me.
I do think it would be cute with some cut off shorts. Regardless of the bump, the dress is going to be too tight in the chest area. So, it will be going back.

Bubble Shirt by Free People
I wanted to like this shirt because Free People is everything, but I just can’t take it seriously with the bump.
I do like the details on the sleeve. The shirt is going back, but if it goes on sale after I have the baby, I may try it again.
If you’re not pregnant and want to add an interesting piece to your summer wardrobe, check out the Free People Bubble Shirt at Nordstrom
Peachy Tank Free People
I love this tank and I am keeping it. Although until I’m not rocking a bump, I’ll probably have a cami under it. The tank just barely covers my bump.
The tank comes in five other colors and when it goes on sale, I’m going to buy a blank one too.

Tie Hem Organic Cotton Tee by EILEEN FISHER
I wanted to like this shirt. I really did. But all in all, I didn’t find anything special about the top. It is also $88. Out of my price range for a shirt that has no wow factor.

Hazle Asymmetrical Toe Loop Sandal by DOLCE VITA
I actually really love these sandals, but I’m not keeping them. A nice pair of sandals doesn’t seem practical with a newborn and toddler. Let’s be real, in the summer I just wear Birkenstocks.
If you want to try a pair of the Dolce Vita sandals, you can find them at Nordstrom.
Alden Slip-On Sneaker CASLON
I really wanted to like these sneakers, but I just wasn’t a fan of the platform.
If you are a fan of the platform sneaker, try out the Alden Slip-On Slipper at Nordstrom
Tate Sandal by CASLON
Yeah, this style of sandal is not working for me. Hard pass.
Asymmetrical Peplum Tank by BP.
This top did not work with the bump, but I did love the color and the photo of the piece. It may just be another top I come back to when I am not rocking the bump anymore. I do think it would be super cute with jeans. I’ll probably size up too.

Back Peplum Tee by CASLON
I liked this shirt and to be honest it is on the maybe list. I like the way this basic tee has a little shape to it. The only thing that is keeping me on the fence is the color. I may exchange it for black.

Burnout Boyfriend Tee by TREASURE & BOND
I do like this shirt and even if on Nordstrom I would probably size up regardless of a bump. It comes in a variety of colors and is at such a great price point!

Hunter Plaid Shirt by RAILS
I want a Rails shirt so bad. And I think if it wasn’t about to be 100 degrees outside, I would keep it because the shirt is so soft and amazing. Now, I knew it wouldn’t fit over my bump in a small, but I tried it anyways and the try on is just hilarious. I’m coming back for this shirt in the fall though.
I told you the photo was funny. Redneck pregnancy right here!

Loom Brave Faux Leather Backpack by MATT & NAT
I love this backpack. I am tempted to keep it….but I do have a similar backpack already and how many backpacks does one person need. I will say that if you are in the market for a great backpack, try this one out.

Final Thoughts
Even though I am only going to keep one or two of the items that were sent, I am going to keep using the service. I think I need to adjust some of my personal preferences such as the price I’m willing to spend. However, the stylist send things that I probably would have tried on myself at the store. And it’s always fun to get something in the mail right?
